(extra)ordinary women
DOCUMENTARY SERIES
Meet the female change-makers impacting the lives of women and girls around the world.
(extra)Ordinary Women is a short documentary series sharing stories of women who have carved their own career path in the space of social impact, and helping other women and girls. These women are exceptional, but there’s nothing out of the ordinary about women doing something remarkable.
Each episode follows a different female change-maker and her journey to create her career. Their experiences demonstrate the power women have to forge their own path in the world of work, have agency in their lives and help to expand the opportunities available to other women and girls.
WHEN CAN I SEE THE EPISODES?
The (extra)Ordinary Women is currently in production and is being directed and produced by filmmaker Emily Stoker. Having completed a round of filming for the first three episodes, she is now exploring ways to optimise the impact of the series through potential collaborations and/or sponsorships.
Potential avenues include: partnering with a non-profit to share the episodes online; applying for funding to tour the series in a local outreach program for young women interested in working in social impact, and more.
If you are a non-profit or individual interested in supporting or collaborating on the project, please get in touch here.
